Corrections Policy
Last updated: September 16, 2026
We publish a lot of detail about a lot of products, and specifications, prices and models change constantly. Errors happen. What matters is how quickly and openly they are fixed. This page explains exactly how Priority People handles them.
1. Our Commitment
- We correct confirmed errors promptly.
- We correct them visibly — we do not quietly delete an error and pretend it never happened.
- We correct them regardless of who is inconvenienced, including ourselves and our affiliate partners.
2. How To Report An Error
Email [email protected] with the subject line CORRECTION and include:
- The page URL
- The exact sentence or figure you believe is wrong
- What the correct information is
- A source where possible — manufacturer spec sheet, manual, official announcement or recall notice
Anyone can report an error: readers, manufacturers, retailers or other publishers. We do not require you to identify yourself, though a contact address helps us follow up.
3. How We Handle A Report
| Stage | What happens | Target time |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Acknowledge | We confirm we received your report. | 2–3 business days |
| 2. Verify | We check the claim against primary sources — manufacturer documentation first. | Usually within 7 business days |
| 3. Act | Confirmed errors are corrected; unconfirmed ones are explained back to you. | Immediately on verification |
| 4. Urgent safety issues | Recalls and safety hazards jump the queue and are actioned as fast as possible. | As soon as verified |
4. How Corrections Are Labelled
- Significant corrections — a wrong recommendation, an incorrect safety statement, a materially wrong specification or price claim. These carry a visible correction note on the article stating what was wrong and what changed, and the update date is revised.
- Minor corrections — typos, broken links, formatting and grammar. These are fixed silently and do not carry a note.
- Substantive rewrites — where new information changes our verdict, the article is updated and the change in conclusion is stated plainly rather than hidden.
- Removal — content is removed only when it cannot be made accurate, or where legally required. Removal is not used to hide criticism.
5. Routine Updates Are Not Corrections
Prices, stock status and newly released models change constantly. Refreshing them is ordinary maintenance, not a correction, and does not receive a correction note.
6. If You Are A Brand Or Manufacturer
We welcome factual corrections from the companies whose products we cover, and we will act on documented evidence. However:
- We will not remove accurate negative findings because they are commercially unwelcome.
- We will not change a ranking in exchange for advertising, product samples, affiliate terms or any other consideration.
- Disagreement with our opinion is not an error. Documented factual inaccuracy is, and we will fix it.
7. Escalation
If you believe a reported error was not handled properly, reply to your original email with ESCALATION in the subject line and we will re-examine it.
